CHAOTIC GLAMOUR

In this project I created a collection inspired by the designer Zandra Rhodes. I intended to create a Women’s Spring/Summer Wear collection which explores bold colour and combination of patterns, designing for the ages of 50-70. Delving into 70s fashion, a key era that Zandra idolises to inspire silhouettes and visualisations. My muse is eccentric, exciting and bold. Due to this my colour palette was audacious, this is to correctly be inspired by Zandra Rhodes as a colour lover. To display the mood of my project I used natural geometrics to enhance my work finding geometrics within the city to create bold motifs. The collection completely consists of digital designs, looking at scale and combining patterns effectively. Drawing from bridges, and patterns found on them to inspire patterns. Additionally, I took aspects of Rhodes design and aesthetic to inspire my visuals. In this additionally I do not want to over manipulate my work on CAD.  I wanted to be playful with the project and concentrate on using inks, making things seem less static and have more movement, this also will appeal to the age range more effectively.
