My personal direction.

Looking into my own personal design focuses and practises longevity and cyclical fashion industry models within sustainability are really important to myself as a designer. When studying my undergraduate degree I began to develop my understanding on cyclical business models and practises.

Looking into rented fashion as a concept was vital in relation to my design, as shown below in a page take from a synopsis of my project.

Rented fashion how now become more available on the market as it becomes available in Selfridges for example.

When Studying my MA I have become more focussed on longevity in design. Companies such as KONUNDRUM. A brand focussed on innovation to create modular garments, something that is becoming more apparent in the fashion industry, with many brands looking into the development of modular design.

'In 2020 KONUNDRUM® was founded as a conceptual design studio in Frankfurt am Main, Germany by Central Saint Martins graduate Jan-Philipp Kosfeld. Today the firm, steered by Kosfeld and his partner Annika Langhammer, maintains an international network of freelancers, creatives and producers that collaboratively contribute to the

brand.

KONUNDRUM® is a Germanized modification of the English word 'conundrum'. It stands for a riddle or difficult question with no imminent answer, referring to the scope and complexity of the brands' design approach.'

As explained more deeply around the areas of longevity in previous posts this is an example of how I may bring those ideas into my own design practise.
